The Saheli Empowerment Programme is funded by The Barrow Cadbury Trust to ensure the participation of Sparkbrook women in governance and decision making, in both community and public life.

Our aim is to work with local women who can be supported to develop all the skills needed to articulate the needs and concerns of local women, and the community as a whole. You will be supported and guided by Ally Sultana (Saheli Empowerment Programme Mentor).

The programme will include:

• A learner-centred approach
• Opportunities to increase your skills, knowledge and confidence
• Promoting equality and inclusion
• Bringing local women together around common issues and concerns
• Look at structures, policies and how different organisations work in Sparkbrook

The Saheli Empowerment Programme is all about creating opportunities for local women to use their knowledge and capacity to shape their lives and their communities. Also, for women to be empowered engaged and informed – women making changes for the future!
